Finance Systems Specialist

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
We are looking for a Finance Systems Specialist who will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and support of SAP Group Reporting (GR) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) solutions. This role will collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient use of these systems for financial consolidation, reporting, planning, and analytics. The specialist will play a key role in maintaining system integrity, optimising performance, and driving continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
SAP Group Reporting:
- Implementation & Configuration:
- Participate in the full lifecycle implementation of SAP Group Reporting, including requirement gathering, system design, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Configure consolidation functions, including data collection, currency translation, intercompany eliminations, and consolidation logic
- Develop and maintain data validations and controls to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Configure reporting structures and dimensions to meet financial reporting requirements
- Maintenance & Support:
- Provide ongoing support for SAP Group Reporting, resolving issues and addressing user queries
- Perform regular system maintenance, including applying patches and updates
- Monitor system performance and optimize configurations for efficiency
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and processes
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze existing consolidation processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and automation
- Collaborate with finance stakeholders to improve data quality and streamline reporting workflows
- Implement best practices for financial consolidation and reporting
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Finance:
- Development & Design:
- Design and develop SAC models, stories, and applications for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
- Build data integrations between SAC and SAP Group Reporting, S/4HANA, and other relevant data sources
- Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to provide insightful financial visualisations
- Develop planning sequences and data actions to automate planning processes
- Implementation & Support:
- Implement SAC solutions based on business requirements, ensuring alignment with finance strategies
- Provide end-user training and support for SAC, enabling effective utilization of the platform
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAC models and integrations
- Manage user access and security within SAC
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support management reporting and decision-making
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to identify trends and insights
- Ensure data consistency and accuracy across all SAC reports and analyses
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. Qualified CA (SA) advantageous
- 5 – 8 years experience in a similar role
- SAP Group Reporting and/or SAP Analytics Cloud Finance implementation and support experience
- Strong understanding of financial consolidation processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in SAP Group Reporting configuration and functionality
- Expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud Finance modeling, planning, and reporting
- Experience with data integration between SAP systems and other data sources
- SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Group Reporting, SAP Analytics Cloud)
- Experience with S/4HANA Finance is advantageous
- Experience in SQL or other data query languages is a plus
